Position Overview:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. Answer any questions about our products and farm offerings.
Sales Transactions: Process sales efficiently using our point-of-sale system. Handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
Merchandise Management: Stock shelves, organize product displays, and ensure the store is clean and welcoming.
Accountability: Maintain accurate records of inventory and sales. Report any discrepancies or issues to the store manager.
Flexibility: Work during evenings and weekends as required to meet the needs of our customers.
Cafe: Be able to follow direction on food and drink preparation. We will provide training.
Butcher Shop: Able to lift 30 lbs. Knowledge of cuts not necessary.
Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with the Bluestem Team to create a positive work environment and support each other during busy periods.
Qualifications:
Previous retail, cafe, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.

We are looking for a passionate, skilled Executive Sous Chef to lead our weddings and events team and take our culinary offerings to the next level.
Position Overview:
As the Executive Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, presentation, and execution of high-end meals for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions. You will lead a dynamic team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring each event meets our high standards of quality and service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume, fine-dining catering, a deep knowledge of culinary trends, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Culinary Team in preparing and executing menus for weddings and events of various sizes and styles.
Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize menus that align with their vision and dietary needs.
Maintain high standards or food quality, presentation, and hygiene across all events.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, with a focus on quality control, safety, and cleanliness.
Manage food costs and inventory while optimizing profitability.
Oversee staff training, development, and performance management to ensure a strong, cohesive team.
Handle scheduling and staffing needs to meet event demands.
Ensure timely and flawless execution of every event, including during peak service hours.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within high-end catering, hotel, or restaurant environments.
Proven experience planning and executing wedding and event menus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and culinary techniques.
Creative, flexible, and able to adapt to client requests and changes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
